DASH8 In Action

Our camera crew traveled all over Europe to shoot lots of footage from Komatsu's latest excavator with its superb new features: the DASH8! We shot terrific footage of brand new DASH8 machines at work in vineyards in Italy, stone pits in Portugal, on a demolition site in the heart of London, laying pipes in Stockholm, … even in the Italian Alps you can find a DASH8 at work.

Objectives

• Create an interactive video-only application to demonstrate the DASH8 in full action, performing all different types of work with special applications.
• Make the video dimensions as large as possible in high quality, while still allowing for the video to run smoothly on a mid-range PC.
• Use Flash video in order to reach the greatest possible audience, offline as well as online.

Results

• We turned this video application into a sit-back-and-relax experience loaded with DASH8 machines in full action.
• Because of its looping functionality, this tool is coming in very handy for fairs and demonstration purposes for a large audience.
