DASH8 Virtual Tour

At the beginning of 2006 Komatsu launched its new range of DASH8 excavators with its superb new and unique features. In order to inform operators all over the world about all DASH8 highlights, Komatsu needed an elaborate training tool: the DASH8 Virtual Tour.

Objectives

• Create a full-screen language independent application, featuring a hotspot navigation framework to highlight all points of interest.
• Allow operators to have a quick overview of what's new, while giving them also the possibility to dive more into the technical details.
• Revise & rewrite all existing training material so it fits into a comprehensible navigation structure.

Results

• This training tool is used extensively by Komatsu trainers all over Europe, and gives operators a fast and detailed overview.
• The DASH8 Virtual Tour has become a very elaborate interactive training tool, and currently replaces all existing DASH8 training material.
