STAG Seraing

An interactive animation about the production process of the STAG (Steam and Gas) power plant in Seraing. The plant is owned by SPE, Belgium second largest energy supplier, providing electricity to the market via its consumer brands Luminus and Citypower.

Objectives

• Summarize the highly technical production process in a concise, easy-to-understand and entertaining animation, and concentrate on the principles, rather than the technical details.
• Develop a language independent structure which allows an easy integration of voice-over and explaining text.

Results

• The STAG Seraing animation was successfully presented during an internal meeting with the SPE/Luminus/Citypower management.
• The combination of Flash animations and short video clips provides a crystal-clear understanding of the power production process in an entertaining way.
• The animation was published on the SPE intranet in a Dutch, French and English version.
